The Clip Show asked for a fresh new logo. I created the following 2 designs (shown against 3 color backgrounds) in Flash sticks to the Clip Show’s existing color palette:
The client decided against radical change, and instead asked that the existing 16 square design be re-imagined. I then produced the following suggestions:
Mysterious Manor is modeled after popular hidden objects games. I designed and drew all the rooms in photoshop, and them assembled everything in Flash.
The game is quite difficult, however the following is an expert play-through, completing the game in just 3 minutes and 10 seconds:
More about this Game:
The game has eight interior rooms and two outside areas. Each area has about 50 possible items, of which the player needs to find 10. This makes the game re-playable, as different objects will be asked for with each new game.
“Hidden object games have been popular for some time now, but they are a challenge to do purely in a Web browser,” said Gary Rosenzweig, Chief Engineer for CleverMedia, the publisher of GameScene.com. “A typical game would take a long time to download, even with a broadband connection.”
Mysterious Manor solves this problem by only downloading the portion of the game that the player needs to see at that moment. So the player never waits very long.
The game is free, and the full version can be played here, at gamescene.com
This is a fun and campy video that I animated entirely in Flash. Original song by Clevermedia.
Created in response to Pluto’s demotion as a planet to a dwarf planet, this video has been viewed over 50,000 times on YouTube alone, and has received over 150 comments.
This is an update to Critter’s logo. The original was distinctive, but small and poor quality. I created a new logo. Done in Flash, it is clean and scalable to better fit the client’s needs.
Created in Flash, the following are a few caricatures I drew of a few fellow Clevermedia employees and myself for our bio page. Caricatures incorporated the person’s interests and personality into style and theme of each drawing.
The latter was an update to the wizard logo for MacMost.com It reflects the clear plastic look of mac icons. This was done in Photoshop.
I designed the Videospotter character for the Videospotter website, a blog that tracked “Tracking the Best Videos on the Web”. She is a companion character for an existing character, Gamespotter. Sketch in pencil and final in Flash.
Later, Videospotter I turned in to one of the protagonists for sidescroller. She was optimized to be viewed at 40 pixels tall, with minimum points to run smoothly in a game with many other Flash objects.

Here a few sketches for the game version of Videospotter, done in pencil.
Old West Trader is modeled after popular trading games, only it is free and the full version can be played at Game Scene. Because it is played online in Flash, I created all graphics in vector with Flash. The beautiful color palette reflects magnificence of the various southwest regions highlighted in the game.
Pieces of Eight is a pirate-themed match 3 game, available to play free at Age of Pirates. I drew the game in Flash; it features 8 distinct pirate-y coins.
I contributed artwork to Gary Rosenzweig’s ActionScript 3.0 Game Programming University! I’m listed in the credits. The book shows you how to make 16 simple games. Samples of the games are playable at the Flash Game U website. I made much of the art work for these sample games, which also appear in the book and in the included resource files. All the artwork was, of course, done in Flash.
